So, it’s confession time. I’m a huge Star Wars nerd. There, I said it. I’ve luckily been given a boy who shares my obsession, Logan knows the names and planets of the Star Wars Universe more than most adults do. This weekend Logan asked to do a perler beads project and having just re-watched the force awakens we hit the pinterest for some small scale projects. We came across a finished version on Etsy and recreated the pattern for it.
It was easy enough for 5 year old Logan to assemble, with some help of course, in about a half hour. AS ALWAYS, a grown up should complete the ironing step. He brought it to school today and proudly showed all his friends. We are now working up some additional patterns, I’m thinking maybe a Captain America shield or an Iron Man head. Oh, I didn’t mention that we’re also Marvel nerds? Yeah, uh. Nevermind 😉
This is the pattern we came up with for our BB-8:
The final product is below!
He likes them EXTRA melted together because it looks more like one piece. You can of course follow the manufacturer’s directions and have them still be perfect circles. Its up to you!
